How to deal with the waste gas produced by food factory

In the workshops of food processing plants, some organic waste gas and waste water, as well as odor gas, often occur. The waste water needs to be purified and treated to be qualified, and the waste gas must also be treated to be qualified before it can be discharged. As a food factory, there are three main types of pollution, including wastewater, waste gas and solid waste.

Aromatic compounds such as benzene, toluene and styrene are the main components of waste gas pollution in food factories. Generally, the following three methods are selected for waste gas treatment in food factories.

1. UV photolysis

The high-energy UV light beam is used to differentiate the oxygen molecules in the air to produce free oxygen (i.e. active oxygen). Since the free oxygen carries unbalanced positive and negative electrons, it needs to be combined with oxygen molecules, and then ozone occurs. Ozone has a strong oxidizability. Through ozone, the organic waste gas and malodorous gas are synergistically photodegraded and oxidized to make the organic waste gas Odor gas substances are degraded into low molecular compounds, water and carbon dioxide.

2. Washing method

The waste gas purification tower uses the commonly used neutralization method, absorption method, water washing method, etc., and the packed turbulent ball tower for acid-base neutralization. This equipment has large processing ability, small resistance, and high absorption efficiency. It is a kind of gas purification equipment that is widely used now. The treated gas is then subject to gas-water separation and dehydration treatment, and then discharged into the atmosphere through the discharge pipeline, and then reaches the national emission standards;

2. Ion method

In the process of dielectric barrier discharge, particles with high chemical activity, such as electrons, ions, free radicals and excited molecules, occur in the plasma. The pollutants in the exhaust gas react with these active groups with high energy, and eventually convert into CO2, H2O and other substances, and then reach the goal of purifying the exhaust gas.
