1. Dust containing gas generated in the process shall be captured by dust hood.

2. Under the action of the fan, the collected dust laden gas is transported to the dust removal equipment along the air duct.

3. Dust is separated from the dust removal equipment.  

4. The purified gas is discharged to the atmosphere.

5. Collect and handle the separated dust.   

Therefore, the dust removal system of industrial buildings is mainly composed of dust hood, air duct, fan, dust removal equipment, dust conveying equipment, etc. That is to say, the dedusting system is a part of the mechanical exhaust system connected by the air duct to the dust hood, fan and dedusting equipment.   

In the planning of HVAC dedusting pipes for pharmaceutical plants, the selected deduster is mainly for the partial dedusting of dust generated during the production of process equipment. According to the characteristics of dust. Generally, the dedusting equipment of pharmaceutical factories are filter type dedusters, and the common dedusters in use are as follows.  

1. Bag type dust remover has high dust removal efficiency, and the efficiency for fine dust can reach more than 99%. It is not suitable to purify dust containing gas containing oil mist, condensed water and dust with high cohesion, as well as smoke with explosion risk or spark. When the dust concentration is greater than 10g/m3, a pre purification dust collector should be added.

As for pharmaceutical factories, they may encounter dust removal of different substances, so we should pay attention to their differences. The distinction of dust removal system shall meet the following requirements:,

1. When the dust points of the same production process and simultaneous operation are not far apart, they should be combined into a system.  

2. Dust raising points that operate at the same time but have different dust types can also be integrated into a system when the process allows different dust to be mixed for recovery or the dust has no recovery value.  

3. Dust containing gases with different temperature and humidity should be separated when they may cause condensation in the air duct after mixing.

Pay attention to the following points when planning the dedusting system:

1. The exhaust points of the dedusting system should not be too many to facilitate the balance of resistance between the branches. If there are too many exhaust points, the large section header can be used to connect the branches. The flow rate of the regulating pipe should not exceed 3m/s.

2. In order to avoid dust deposition in the air duct, the air duct of the dedusting system should be laid vertically or askew as far as possible. When laying askew, the included angle with the horizontal plane should be greater than 45 °. If it is necessary to lay horizontally, a cleanout should be set.

3. Due to the high wind speed, the air duct of the dedusting system is generally round with small diameter. However, in order to avoid air duct blockage, the diameter of dedusting air duct should not be less than the following data; Fine dust (mineral dust) 80mm coarse dust (such as wood chips) 100mm coarse dust (such as wood chips) 130mm wood chips 150mm

4. The required hydraulic balance of the air duct of the dedusting system is good. For hydraulic calculation of parallel pipeline, general ventilation system.

In practical application, the following problems are common in the dust removal system in the purification plant:

1. In the planning of pharmaceutical factory workshops with relatively large amount of dust, due to the large number of dust producing points, the dust removal pipeline is placed too long during the placement, resulting in the impact of dust removal. Therefore, in the initial placement, the dust removal equipment room should be placed as close as possible to the dust production point. If restricted by conditions, it is better to use other methods of dust removal, such as mobile dust remover, or directly use exhaust system to directly exhaust the points with less dust production outdoors.

2. In order to ensure the normal operation of the dedusting system and avoid environmental pollution again, the dust collected by the deduster should be properly treated. The treatment principle is to reduce the secondary dust, protect the environment and recover for use, turn harm into benefit, turn waste into treasure, and improve economic benefits. According to the production process conditions, dust nature, recycling value, and the amount of dust to be treated and other factors, on-site recycling, centralized recycling and centralized waste can be selected.
